/Biography
Allow me to introduce myself, I am Mike Langeveld a graduate of Calvin College. I have been doing photography and graphic design work since 2010. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in graphic design, photography and marketing in December of 2012. I have been doing freelance work since June 2010 for companies as large as SpartanNash and as independent as Dutch Treat Camping and Recreation in Zeeland. In the past 13 years my experiences have grown exponentially since first being introduced to design by my photography professor. My proficiency has been rooted in my passion for the arts and the creativity that sparks from the design process. Watching things unfold and develop from concept to completion is what drove me to the more creative side of the design world. Having originally gone to Calvin in hopes of an Engineering degree. Today I am proficient in multiple graphic designing work, including weekly ad circulation, digital photography techniques, logo creation, and various marketing materials like flyers, brochures and book design.
I pride my self on being a quick study when it comes to new software. Working hands on has always been my strong suit, reading books help start the process but proficiency takes practice and dedication. I pour my heart and soul into my work, designing isn’t a chore its a pleasure. Its grown to be one of my biggest passion, thats why I worked so hard to become a designer. I have been working full time as an production artist at Spartannash since 2016. I started out on the production floor way back in 2012 and have had a hand in just about everything we do. Its been quite the journey but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I work with some pretty amazing people, that helped mold me into the designer I am today.
